Eagle safari on Smøla

Looking for new ørnebilder.

On Friday I go and photo mate Geir Magne Sætre traveling to Smøla. Smøla has one of Europe's largest sea eagles. There we can also see golden eagle, and a number of other bird species if we are correct so lucky.

A full day, we sit in hiding and (hopefully) photographing eagles on bait. There are rumors that there is a lot of activity now, so we are looking forward immensely to. We will also spend a day on safari in the archipelago by boat. We are aware that it will be a cold experience, but hope that the body is warmed up by the excitement and the good image we dream of getting :-)

Yesterday we had planning meeting to discuss what equipment we should have with us.

We aimed to travel by motorhome up, starting Friday morning. The plan is to photograph both the trip up and down as well as two days at Smøla.

I come back with an report on trip, and hopefully some faves. In the meantime, you can enjoy yourselves with a couple of pictures of Fosnavågørnene taken from Tverrfjellet last week. You will find several eagle and bird images her.
